Introduction to FYI Reviewer Webinar - This free one hour webinar covers basic navigation, browsing, searching, tagging, reviewing, image viewing and redaction. Monday 6/2 3:30 p.m. (12:30 p.m. PDT).

Women in eDiscovery Presentation May 13 in Boston - Victoria Edelman will present "Web Repositories: A Comparison of Hosted Document Review Platforms for Litigation" at the Women in eDiscovery chapter meeting in Boston on Tuesday May 13. Electronic Discovery Case Management Class - A well managed electronic discovery process can save companies a tremendous amount of time and money. A great deal is at stake in civil cases; therefore, it is extremely important that case managers are well prepared. Examine the various elements of managing the review process of an electronic discovery case. You will learn how to prepare for review, to choose and manage review tools and vendors, and to supervise reviewers. Through a class project, participants will have the opportunity to integrate and use the knowledge acquired to manage a simulated electronic discovery case. Discussions will also focus on strategies to ensure defensible results. Offered for credit by California State Fullerton University Extended Education. Instructor: Victoria Edelman and Hemanth Salem. Dates: 05/03/08 to 05/10/08, and 08/09/08 to 08/16/08 (two 1-day Saturday classes). This class can also be offered onsite.

Beginning Concordance Class - This one day class covers browsing, searching, tagging, saving searches, image viewing and redaction, and working with transcripts. All the end user features helpful for review of documents in Concordance 2007 and FYI Reviewer are covered. This class is similar to LexisNexis' "Concordance End User" class and meets the pre-requisite requirement for Concordance certification classes offered by LexisNexis.
9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday 6/9 in DC, Tuition $400, lunch provided.

Intermediate Concordance Class - This one day class covers building a new database, loading delimited text, loading OCR, loading images, setting security and basic database management. This is a good introduction to how to build and maintain Concordance databases. This class is similar to LexisNexis' "Concordance Introduction to Administration" and meets the pre-requisite requirement for Concordance certification classes offered by LexisNexis. 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tuesday 6/10 in DC, Tuition $400, lunch provided.

Concordance Certification Preparation Class - This one day class covers intermediate database creation and management. This class is all hands-on lab exercises and designed to prepare students seeking to become Concordance Certified Trainers or Administrators.
